Enjoy Your Lake District Holiday
The Lake District, in Cumbria, in the northwest corner of England close to the Scottish border, has often been considered “the most beautiful corner of England.” Poets and artists have revelled in its landscape for centuries. Climbers and hill-walkers have thrilled to its mountains. Sailors and canoeists have enjoyed its lakes. Lovers of history have visited its stately homes, castles, historic houses and museums. And now it is waiting for you.
To quote the National Park website, “England’s largest National Park includes Scafell Pike – its highest mountain, Wastwater – its deepest lake, and thriving communities like Keswick and Bowness-on-Windermere.” To learn more about it all why not spend some time at the visitor centre, Brockhole, by the side of the lake between Windermere and Ambleside.
Whether you’re travelling solo, as a couple or with a family there is something here for you.
